Christmas at St. Johns Cathedral in Central
Christmas 2017 might be over but I still remember getting a little misty eyed in St. Johns Cathedral at the scope of their Christmas decorations which were traditional and abundant and at listening to carols being sung....
I am a frequent visitor to St. John Cathedral with a minimum of 3 visits a week because of my tours and although I am 6,000 miles from England a visit to the Cathedral is always just a little reminder of my roots.

I try not to get involved in politics here in Hong Kong, suffice to say that the two characters in the image are as we say in Yorkshire, "as thick as two short planks" I am from the school of commonsense, politics in Hong Kong bears all the hallmarks of an unruly kindergarten and Long Hair Leung spits the dummy more than most.
On the other hand I was pretty pleased to be breathing the same air and being in such close proximity to a major media character, he is by far the leading light in media manipulation in Hong Kong, there is simply no limit to what he will do to get his face in the media, he literally has no shame.

In these politically correct times there would no doubt be a hail of abuse aimed at the unfortunate chap driving this Bentley, the fact remains that she was / is a hot babe and in Hong Kong she would be proud of the the fact that she has been immortalised on a license plate... well at least until a younger better looking model comes along.
Hong Kongers do love their custom license plates and pay staggering sums of money for them and why not....

Christmas at the Peninsula Hotel 2017
My, my the Peninsula Hotel does Christmas wonderfully well both from the inside and the outside, out of all our top Hotels, they do Christmas the best with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel a close second.
It is an iconic Hotel steeped in history and I am basically in there almost every day and I could have a milkshake in there 3 times a day easily but commonsense prevails.
Oh and in Graff Jewellers in the Hotel, they have had on display for a few weeks a flawless 43ct heart shaped diamond ring on display, what a fabulous store.
Everyone that visits Hong Kong should pay a visit to the Peninsula Hotel, it is simply brilliant.

HKT burnt out telephone call box
Clearly whoever was in the call box had been having a heated conversation.
This is the first time in my life I have seen a call box that basically melted ( and we have no idea why ) and my assumption is as it next to the Court of Final Appeal and the Court deals with politically sensitive cases and therefore attracts all the fruitcakes, that one such fruitcake torched it.
Oh well.

The Lamborghini Huracan
When I see a Lamborghini Huracan which is the entry level model I often wonder why people do not spend a few extra $ to pimp the cars out like they do in the USA and Europe.
A big spoiler, some martini stripes etc would got a long way to make this car be a real head turner whereas in Hong Kong plain Lamborghini's are so common that nobody looks at them anymore which is really, really sad.

Connecting The Hang Seng Bank Building to the Mid Levels Escalator this passageway through Central Market (which we hope will be renovated shortly) is vitally important.
It is hard to believe that
Central Market actually opened in 1842!
it has been closed since 2003 and 15 years on, the renovation promised has still not started, one of the more shocking cases of management by committee / consensus which is the way the Government Departments operate these days.
I always totally gobsmacked at how Government Departments here pass the buck on all matters but this must be a new record for our buck passing muppets - after 15 years of bickering they still cannot agree on how to renovate one of the ugliest decaying buildings in Hong Kong.
They should be ashamed of themselves.
......... but at least the corridor which is now air conditioned remains open, it is such a vital link.
Oh my golly gosh, the simply amazing Pagani Zonda Absolute - this is a custom made car and is rumoured to be the only one of it's kind in the world and it is in Hong Kong!... oh... and yes, this is my picture, talk about being in the right place at the right time.
